Hi Wout,
Our client raised an issue that they are unable to open our system generated drawing file in AutoCad2017 or lower version because we are using Dxf32 version to generate dwg files. So if we revert it version from current to Dxf27[DXF revision 27 (AutoCAD 2013, AC1027)] then what impacts our application may have?
Thanks,
Sachin

Probably nothing, the changes in recent formats are very minor, and the changes are just mostly format changes and there were maybe 1 or 2 fields that were changed/added. I don't have a overview though.

I hope, this is the same(nothing major) while downgrading from Dxf32 to Dxf18 as well? Or any functional area that we need to focus?

I expect it's still mostly OK, CadLib can still write all entities to R18, but it might not have all the newest properties.

Thanks Wout!
Just one more question, do we have any release notes or url for using new version of WW.Cad.NetStandard? What are all new features/bug fixes coming with new releases? It'll be very helpful for us to plan in case of changing the version of WW.Cad.NetStandard library in our application.

Sachin

Hi,
The codebase is the same as CadLib 4.0, except for the rendering output (GDI+ vs SixLabors.ImageSharp). I don't have a separate version history for the .NET Standard version, so you'll have to look here: https://www.woutware.com/net/cad/history. I do have a few .NET Standard specific bug fixes in the history, but not many, and I don't have a tool yet to extract these separately from the subversion history yet.
