Hi Wout I've installed the new CadLib version today, but now the help doesn't work. The help is started, but is 'empty'. I get no hits for anything. Any ideas? I've attached the logfile from the help. best regards Clay

Hi Clay, I don't see any errors in the registration, so I'm a bit puzzled. Did you see any error message during install? Also: the documentation will be visible when the help explorer is started. This means that if either the help explorer or Visual Studio were running, you have to close both and restart help explorer. Then it should be busy updating the help database for a minute or two. If you don't see this happening, then something is wrong. The documentation is plugged into the .NET framework DocSet, but you can also choose the WW DocSet to see only the CadLib documentation. If it still does not work, can you try running the following batch file: C:\Program Files\Wout Ware\CadLib\Help\RegisterCadLibHelpFile.bat (On different location on your machine ofcourse in C:\Programme) Wout

I tried the above but I still cannot get the documentation. I know almost nothing about the help system built into VS2005.

Hi, In Visual Studio, if you go to Help -> Index the normal 'Microsoft Document Explorer' should pop up. Then depending on what filter is set, the CadLib documentation might be visible or not. By default the CadLib documentation is present in the '.NET Framework' filter, and also in the 'WW.Cad' filter (see the 'Filtered by:' drop down). Then you should see e.g. the DxfCircle documentation. If all else fails, try 'unfiltered' as well. Also make sure you have gotten out of VS and the help explorer after installing CadLib, because it won't update the documentation if VS or the document explorer is open. Wout PS: Currently something strange is going on with the Sandcastle documentation builder, so the DxfCircle constructor shows up twice, ignore that part. Just click e.g. 'about DxfCircle class'.
